WOLF BLASS GREY LABEL WAS THE FIRST WOLF BLASS WINE EVER MADE AND WAS BORN FROM THE WINEMAKING PHILOSOPHY - TO CREATE WINES OF GREAT QUALITY, CHARACTER AND CONSISTENCY.

Fruit was sourced from vineyards across Robe and Mt Benson on South Australia's Limestone Coast. The climate is cool and strongly maritime, due to the influence of the Southern Ocean to the west, producing wines of intense flavour, succulent mid-palate and fine tannins.

Following crushing, individual parcels were fermented in small batch open fermenters. A mix of plunging and gentle pumping over was used to optimize colour and flavour extraction, giving the wine rich concentration and depth of fruit. After gentle pressing the individual parcels were placed in seasoned and new American and French oak barrels. Individual parcels were kept separate until final blending to ensure quality and style.

Deep vibrant purple. The nose displays intense aromas of rich black and red berry fruits, plums, rhubarb, spice and black pepper supported by underlying notes of restrained fragrant oak.

Complex palate of layered flavours led by intense raspberries, mulberry and plum, supported with liquorice and chocolate. The seamless concentrated palate is lengthened by a fine acid and tannin structure with subtle spice, resulting in a wine of great power and elegance.
